When first mobile phones were launched in 1980s, they were the size of a brick, cost several thousand pounds and were considered as the standard of businessmen who considered themselves the height of sophistication, but today you can get a mobile phone for less than a penny, yes that’s true.
Carphone Warehouse has announced the launch of the pre-pay Alcatel OT-209, a 99p basic handset worldwide that is available on Virgin Mobile when you pick up a £10 top-up. So altogether it will cost you £10.99 but still it will be the cheapest mobile phone till now.
Though it is just a basic phone but still it has features like FM radio, few games, alarm clock, and a fake incoming call function. On a single charge Alcatel OT-209 give you up to 400 hours of standby time and 4 hours of Talk Time. It allows messages to be sent to up to 10 people and you can even have hands free conference calls with up to four other people.

Virgin GSM uses the network of Tata Docomo, so it has the same Characteristics Of Docomo’s network But virgin GSM should be congratulated for maintaining its different Identity all together despite using Docomo’s Network.
It Provides Unlimited Internet Access at Just Rs.5 per day through its vbytes apn, which is way cheaper than docomo. Apart from low tariff it doesn’t have the unstability of docomo, yes it is stable and has a Good Speed than Docomo GPRS. Virgin Mobile introduces Music Unlimited service
0Virgin Mobile has announced the launch of ‘Music Unlimited’ service offering mobile subscribers to download full songs, ringtones, tring tunes (CRBT) free of cost. The service will allow the users to download full songs from music library of over 1.5 lakh songs ranging from Bollywood, Western rock, Pop, Bhangra, Indi pop, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and can set caller ring back tunes of their choice.

Virgin Mobile India has launched GSM services in six more telecom circles in the country, along with introducing a unique concept of getting paid for incoming calls. Virgin Mobile GSM A youth targeted telephony service is now started in UP (East), UP (West)-Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh, Haryana, West Bengal and Bihar.
Virgin Mobile GSM StartUp Kit (SUK) is available at Rs 49 with lifetime validity and zero talk time. Keeping Competition in mind, Virgin mobile has introduced several new concepts to give a tough fight to the other market players with charging 20 paise/minute for STD and local calls for the Virgin mobile numbers without any pack or daily rental.
