Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) launches Instant Audio Conference serviceTata Teleservices Limited (TTSL), pan-India dual-technology telecom service provider has launched ‘Insta Conference’ – a unique audio conferencing service using XOP Network’s Universal Service Node (USN) platform. This  service allows a customer to instantly convene a voice conference with a pre-selected group of individuals at the press of a key. The service is available on all wireline and wireless postpaid connections of Tata Teleservices ( Tata Walky, Tata Indicom and Tata DOCOMO).

Insta Conference is a cost-effective, efficient and convenient in use service. A customer can simply dial in to the bridge to automatically start a conference. The application dials out to one or more numbers belonging to each individual and as people pick up their calls; they are automatically placed into an audio conference. The service also allows them the flexibility to dial in and join/re-join as necessary. (more…)

Tata DOCOMO 3G tariff plan post-paid and pre-paid subscribers Tata DOCOMO, the first private telecom operator to launch 3G services in India has finally revealed Docomo 3G tariff details. Presently the services have been launched in 9 circles ( Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra (excluding Mumbai), Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya-Pradesh-Chhattisgarh and UP (West) ) and the company is in talks with PSUs BSNL and MTNL to ink roaming pacts for the rest of the circles.

“We plan to cover all the circles through our roaming pacts by the end of this year,” said Deepak Gulati, Executive President, Mobility, Tata Teleservices Ltd (TTSL).

Tata Docomo 3G services tariff plan range from Rs 350 to Rs 2000 including monthly limit on minutes, maximum speed and data usage. 3G Video calls will be priced at 0.66 paisa per second ( ~ Rs. 40 per minute! ) This plans will be available with effect from 10 November 2010. (more…)

New Tata Photon Plus Device with music features like MP3, RadioTata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) has introduced the evolved Tata Photon Plus MP3 Device which offers a host of music features like MP3, Radio and recording along with Internet Surfing. The new device combines the benefit of wireless internet connectivity and music. Customers will also get a free 2GB micro-SD card for data storage. The benefits are 2 fold: one that it gives uninterrupted internet connectivity, secondly the new device can also be used as MP3 or users can access FM radio while it is unplugged.

GSM subscribers data of Top 5 Indian telecos until August

Indian gsm Mobile subscribers data in augustIndia, One of the largest growing market in the world has added 13.5 million new GSM mobile subscribers In month of August. The total GSM subscribers base stood at over 481 million,Cellular Operators Association of India(COAI) said in its latest figures.

Country’s largest private telecom operator Bharti Airtel added just over 2 million users to take its total subscriber base to 141.25 million and market share at 29.33 percent. Vodafone is in second place with a subscriber base around 113.77 million and market share of 23.62 per cent at the end of August. IDEA Cellular the third largest GSM operator with a subscriber base of little over 15 percent. IDEA Cellular is followed by BSNL with total subscribers of about 70 million. But, Reliance Communication and TTSL are ahead of BSNL if we count CDMA users also. (more…)
