MTS Rolls out Seamless HSD Connectivity On Major National Highways Across India

Sistema Shyam TeleServices that nationally provides telecom services under the brand MTS with over 12 million wireless subscribers today announced the launch of seamless HSD connectivity across the 265 KM long Delhi – Jaipur stretch of National Highway 08. NH 08 is one of the busiest highways in the country. The roll-out is part of a larger blueprint wherein, the Company plans to provide seamless HSD connectivity on some of the busiest National Highways across the country.
With the roll out of HSD services on the Delhi – Jaipur stretch of NH-08, MTS customers will be able to enjoy seamless HSD connectivity on their laptops and can enjoy Live TV and On demand Video channels on the go. Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that nationally operates its telecom services under the MTS brand with over 11 million wireless customers becomes the first telecom operator in the country with the launch of a exciting tariff where customers can avail ½ paisa per second tariff for “LIFETIME’ on all local and national outgoing calls made to any telecom network in the country.
Existing MTS mobile customers can avail this offering for Rs. 191. On the other hand new MTS mobile customers need to pay Rs. 203. Both existing and new customers will also get a talk time of Rs. 50.

ZTE Wins CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase 2 Commercial Contract from SSTL

ZTE Corporation, a global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, today announced that it has won the world’s first CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase 2 commercial contract from Indian telecom operator, Sistema Shyam TeleServices Ltd (SSTL).
SSTL operates its telecom services across India under the brand MTS and has over 11 million wireless customers. ZTE has also won the CDMA expansion contracts and EV-DO upgrade contracts for 10 circles of SSTL. The EV-DO Rev.B Phase2 commercial launch will commence in Rajasthan. (more…)

The Company has rolled out its high speed mobile internet services in Ahmedabad, Baroda, Rajkot, Surat, Gandhinagar, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Kodinar and Verawal.
