Idea Cellular, India’s 3rd largest mobile operator has launched a special ‘International Roaming Offer’ for its postpaid subscribers. Starting April 15th, Idea postpaid subscribers can avail a flat 25% discount on their mobile phone usage while traveling to any of the 12 most frequently visited countries in the world viz. UAE, USA, Singapore, UK, Thailand, China, Germany, France, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong and Italy. The offer is valid for three months till July 14th 2011.
The ‘special period’ Roaming rates are available on International Roaming services such as Incoming Calls, Outgoing Calls, SMS and GPRS. The applicable rates during the offer period are as follows: (more…)
10 paisa calls tariff in IDEA mumbai Maharashtra and Goa
0IDEA Cellular, the pan-India mobile operator has introduced a new tariff plan that will provide more value to its subscribers. Consumers will now be charged merely 10 paisa per minute on a tariff plan of Rs. 18 per month. Idea subscribers across Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa can experience an 83% reduction in rates over the existing rate. A large group of people who talk for smaller durations but make frequent calls will benefit most through the new tariff plan.
With increasing consumer base, Idea has become more affordable and by introducing yet another tariff plan it is getting closer to the youth community, small entrepreneurs and self employed mass. (more…)
IDEA Cellular introduces Unlimited GPRS plans in Mumbai

IDEA Cellular, a leading GSM mobile services operator in India with over 62 million subscribers has introduced unlimited internet plan for mobile subscribers in Mumbai. Now mobile subscribers can surf the internet, chat, connect with friends and relatives on social networking sites, email etc. for just Rs. 98 with 30 days validity. IDEA cellular has Over 1.5 million subscriber base in Mumbai.
Mr. Sashi Shankar, Chief Operating Officer – Mumbai, IDEA Cellular said, “Large number of mobile users are now accessing data services on their phones. IDEA has taken the lead to address this growing demand by introducing consumer friendly and flexible tariff plans which will give a new dimension to mobile experience for users in Mumbai. IDEA’s new unlimited GPRS plan will help the large youth community and small entrepreneurs – who are heavy users of mobile internet, or wish to access GPRS services on their handsets – to choose plans as per their usage”.

IDEA also introduced daily internet surfing plan for Rs. 8 per day.In this plan, user can surf internet for up to 70 MB download. After 70 MB of download users have to pay Rs. 5 per MB. The daily plan would remain active, until deactivated by the user.
