Airtel tops National Consumer Helpline list with maximum consumer complaintsBharti Airtel, India’s leading telecom services provider is also leading the chart in being the company facing the largest number of consumer complaints. According to latest data released by the National Consumer Helpline (NCH), more than 2001 complaint calls were received against Bharti Airtel between March 2010 and February 2011.

This was the highest number of complaints against a single company, followed by BSNL (1,986 complaints), Indian Oil (1,940), RCom (1,792) and Nokia India (1,616). Other companies in the top-10 list in terms of number of complaints included Samsung India (1,560), SBI (912), BPCL (872), LIC (626) and ICICI Bank (569). 5 companies in top ten list of NCH are Telecom service providers. RCom to launch mutli-lingual mobile portal R World Reliance Communications (RCom) has announced its plans to roll-out a next generation mobile portal, R World, for delivering mobile Internet and data services to its over 125 million customers.

RCom intends to offer a new multi-lingual R-World that will offer personalisation option in Hindi, followed by other regional languages.  R-World has been designed to deliver content and applications on the mobile platform. RCom will use Motricity’s m-Core platform to deliver advanced services and applications on its 3G, GSM and CDMA mobile platforms.

Reliance 3G Network goes live in metros and ChandigarhReliance Communications (RCom) has finally announced the much awaited launch of Reliance 3G services, starting with Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, along with the city of Chandigarh. The 3G network offers a theoretical peak download speed of up to 28Mbps.

Reliance 3G services will offer features such as video-calling, mobile TV, video streaming and applications access at super-fast speeds on a wide variety of both mobile phone and personal computing devices with the plans starting from 199 Rupees a month to 2,499 Rupees a month according to data usage limit.
