India’s fastest growing mobile handset and services provider Olive Telecom has announced that, it has upgraded its Olive Pad VT100 7-inch tablet to android 2.2 (Froyo).
The upgraded Olive pad VT100 comes with a resistive touch screen, will provide improved JavaScript rendering, install application on SD card, allows enhanced switch between multiple keyboard languages, use portable hotspot and automatically update all the applications, it is design as a multi functional device.
Olive Pad VT100 supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3-megapixel camera and a front camera, voice and video calling. The Wi-Fi hotspot feature makes the tablet into a Wi-Fi router and the Olive Pad’s 3G connection can be shared with multiple Wi-Fi devices. The Olive Pad comes with a Zenga TV application, which allows the users to surf channels under the categories of Live & Reality TV, Movies & Uncut-uncensored. (more…)
OlivePad VT100 Indias first 3G tablet with Android OS

Olive Telecom, a provider of Convergence Solutions, has announced the launch of India’s first 3.5G Pad “OlivePad – VT100“. Designed as a multi-functional device, OlivePad operates on Android Operating System and supports 3.5G HSUPA, Wi-fi, and Bluetooth. Priced at Rs 20,000 to 25,000, the OlivePad will be available across the country at all Croma stores by August 2010.
It features an inbuilt three mega pixel camera and a front camera, can be used as a touch notebook allowing browsing, Multimedia, Instant Messaging and access the world of social networking, GPS for maps and turn by turn directions, gaming console, an e- book reader, Television and it is also a Smart Phone allowing voice and Video Calling.
