Nokia N8 Firmware Updates Expected in January 2011

Nokia, recently confirmed on twitter that it is going to offer a firmware update for Nokia N8 in next month. N8 is currently the Nokia’s flagship model, which comes with amazing features like 3.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, 12MP camera, , Multi touch, ARM 11 680 MHz processor, TV–out via HDMI with Dolby Digital, HSDPA network with 10.2Mbps download and 2.0 Mbps upload speed.
N8 runs on Nokia’s Symbian 3 operating system. Nokia also reveal that it is going to launch Nokia C6 in January 2011. Nokia C6 will be the most affordable handset and it will be the first phone to use Clear Black Display (CBD) technology.
C6 has features like QWERTY keyboard, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, A-GPS, 5MP AF with LED flash and runs on Symbian OS v9.4 platform. (more…)
Nokia N8 smartphones getting turned off itself due to power fault

Nokia, the world’s top cellphone maker admitted on Friday that a small number of its latest smartphone Nokia N8 have a power fault that originated during the manufacturing process. A number of users reported, their Nokia N8 turned off unexpectedly and is not switching on back as it should. The company says affected users will be covered by the standard warranty.
According to chief sales manager, Niklas Savander, “there were a limited number of N8 users who were actually facing this problem. When the phones turned themselves off, the users were unable to turn them back on.”, But he kept mum on the toll that how many phones are affected.
The fault in the power management reportedly stems from the way in which the engine component in the Nokia N8 was being installed. (more…)
Nokia N8 launched in Indian Market

Nokia, World’s largest handset maker has officially released its powerful smartphone Nokia N8 in Indian market. Actress Priyanka Chopra, brand ambassador of Nokia along with Mr. D Shivakumar, Vice President and Managing Director has unveiled the Nokia N8 at an event held in Hotel ITC Grand Sheraton- Mumbai.
The Nokia N8 is fast and easy to use smartphone which supports true multitasking on the new Symbian 3 platform, allowing users to run multiple apps simultaneously and switch between them easily. It is equipped with latest version of Ovi Store which is first on the Nokia N8.
