Motorola Defy Launched In India for Rs 18,500Motorola Mobility, a subsidiary of Motorola Inc today launches its new Android powered handset, Motorola Defy in India. Motorola Defy is a slim pocket-able Smartphone powered by Google’s Android 2.1 (Eclair) OS, and comes with features like 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display at a 480×854 pixel resolution, 800 MHz OMAP 3610 processor with 512MB RAM, 3G, Wi-Fi, 5 megapixel camera with auto focus, digital zoom and flash features.

Other features include Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR, A-GPS, Proximity sensor, and Social networking integration for Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, Supports Google services like Gmail, Gtalk, Apps, Doc and Calendar.

This handset is a scratch and water-resistant and comes with 1540mAh battery pack, offers 6.8 hrs of continues talktime and 9.9 long stand by time. This phone offers geo-tagging feature to Google Maps and supports Exchange 2003 and 2007 along with POP3/IMAP and Yahoo Mail. (more…)

Few months back Micromax had launched Android powered Andro A6 phone, and many new handsets are still in line that are going to be launched in India very soon. Recently, we have come to know that Motorola is planning to launch its new 3G enabled Dual-SIM based Android Smartphone, Motorola Glam XT800 phone in India.

Motorola Glam has one GSM and one CDMA slot that will offer flexibility to the user, in choosing service provider based on call and data based functions.

Verizon Twitted About Android, LTE Devices in CES 2011Verizon Wireless, which has launched its 4G services on December 5 in America. After launching 4G services in America we were expecting that it would also launch some LTE or 4G devices. However, until date we are just guessing when Verizon will be going to launch the handsets that are capable of handling 4G signals.

Recently Verizon on Twitter twitted that Jan. 6 at #CES: #Android and #LTE – could it be like peanut butter and chocolate? YUM,

Now, it is officially confirm by Verizon that they will launch 4G and Android devices in CES 2011. There are also many other companies that are lined up to launch and announce different services, features in CES 2011. Moving ahead with HTC, HTC has also confirmed that they are going to bring LTE devices next year in CES 2011 and most probably the handset will be HTC Merge. (more…)
