Micromax, The domestic Mobile Handset maker has revealed their first ever Android OS powered smartphone Micromax ANDRO A60, which is the cheapest Android mobile available in India. Micromax was one of the pioneer to introduce low cost mobiles to India and now the company extended their profile to burgeoning Android market. Videocon, another indegeous company has already introduced an Android OS but with almost double cost. Micromax Andro A60 is Actually a re-branded version of ”ZTE Penguin” handset.
Andro A60 is powered by Android 2.1 Éclair, 600MHz CPU, 3.2Megapixel camera and a 2.8-inch resistive touch screen with 320×240 pixel resolution. This dual-band GSM supports 3G technology and also offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. (more…)
Lemon W100, cheapest 3g phone in India launched at Rs 3500

Lemon Mobiles, promoted by Fastrack Communications, today launched India’s cheapest 3g mobile phone ‘Lemon W100‘. This phone is available in two different colours, red and blue. Its SIM slot will support both GSM or WCDMA (3G) card. The W100 3G is available at an affordable price of Rs 3,500 ( ~ USD 78 )
With its Dual camera, W100 can make video calls. It also boasts of some high end features like, watching live TV, access to high-speed Internet ( Max. 384 Kbps ), receiving e-mails and downloading music tracks on compatible 3G networks.
This cheapest 3G handset comes with a pre-loaded Lemon LiveTV application + one-month free subscription. The Lemon LiveTV provides access to most popular TV channels and uses the underlying 3G services available from the network provider. (more…)

This month Lemon Mobile is launching its new low-cost 3G mobile phone W100 in India. It has been design in such a way that is capable of doing all those activity, which you can expect from any costly 3G mobile handset. It has features like dual camera, built-in memory, FM radio, live TV, video calling, on 3G network, browser, multimedia and more.
“Our aim has always been to provide feature rich offerings to our customers. 3G launch is expected to create a new market segment. By bringing in 3G handsets, we would provide our customers with a ubiquitous access to a host of entertainment and enterprise applications,” said Gopal Kalra, director Fastrack Communications (Lemon’s parent company).
