BSNL lauches 3G services in Kangra

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), State own Telecom provider has launched its 3G services in Kangra town of Himachal Pradesh. BSNL had already launched 3G services in Dharamshala, Palampur, Chamba, Tanda and Yol cantonment. Announcing the launch, Deepak Chautervedi General Manager BSNL said, ” 3G services would be launched at Dalhousie and Paproala, too this month. Moreover 3G data card holders would get free usage of 6 GB per month.
He further said that 5 EVDO BTSs had been installed at Dalhousie, Kangra, Surani, Mehmoor and Bhuana for enhanced data service on WLL. Wimax services had been started recently at Kunjar Mahadev, Bharmour and Holi in its first phase to provide Broad Band services to Lokmitra Kendra sponsored by DIT. (more…)
BSNL launches 3G services in Yavatmal district

State owned telecom giant BSNL announced the launched of its 3G (third generation) mobile services in Yavatmal an eastern city of Maharashtra. This 3G services will help mobile users in Yavatmal to enjoy faster internet access on mobile phones, video calling, better voice quality,stream online videos as well as movies, play online games, Live TV and many rich features.

BSNL Video Calls and DATA Facilities now for 2G Customers

BSNL, The state own telecom operator extends its video calling facility to 2G Prepaid customers in Tamilnadu Region enabling them to experience the next generation 3G mobile services on 2G network. All existing 2G prepaid plans are allowed to use this 3G services but customer should have 3G enabled handset. 3G Tariff for Video call / Data will be applicable.
The difference between 2G and 3G services are (1) video call facility and (2) Data speed. i.e. The default Data speed for any 2G customer is upto 128kbps where as 3G customer can avail upto 3.6Mbps (more…)
BSNL 3G network may expand in Chhattisgarh

BSNL, state owned telecom operator has decided to settle 3G network across Chhattisgarh district by October 15. At present, the service is available in the urban areas but now they plans to expansion of their 3G network in rural areas also. Earlier, five districts, namely Raipur, Rajnandgaon, Kabeerdham, Mahasamund and Dhamtari had the 3G network. The company recently launched the service in Baikunthpur and Ambikapur.
“We have planned to launch the 3G service in all the 18 districts of Chhattisgarh by October 15 and the preparation for the same has started,” said, chief general manager of BSNL (Chhattisgarh circle) Ram Yagna. (more…)
