According to Mike Lazaridis, president, RIM Canada “These fully loaded and beautifully crafted smartphones offer a highly refined user experience with blazingly fast performance, a brilliant touch screen and an outstanding typing experience.”

BlackBerry Messenger Service on Android and IOS platformIf you are a fan of BlackBerry Messenger service and misses it while using another smartphones then a good news for you, Research in Motion (RIM) may release its BlackBerry Messenger service for Apple iPhones , iPads, and Android smartphone. According to sources, this software could be offered free to users, with either a one-time or yearly fee to access the Messenger Service via a 3rd-party platform.

Although the Android version of the Blackberry Messenger is now almost confirm , there is still some doubt about the availability of an iPhone service due to the closed iOS platform. Probability is also there, that apple may refuse to allow the app to be listed in their App Store.

It is expected that the 3rd-party applications will offer a cut-down version of the Messenger platform, which will doubtless be seen as a way to hook customers into switching their smartphone to BlackBerry models to get the full messaging service.

Nokia India installs server for e-mail and messenger service interceptionNokia India, has announced the installation of a server in the country to enable security agencies lawfully intercept its email and messenger services. The step from Nokia will pressurise the BlackBerry makers, Research-in-Motion, to install its server in India.

The company, however, assured its customers that their privacy would be protected, even while fulfilling public responsibility and legal obligations. Nokia Messaging is a push mail service which merely collates information available through the internet and directs it to the respective mobile devices.

Research In Motion sees no ban on BlackBerry Enterprise Server

Research In Motion sees no ban on BlackBerry Enterprise Server in IndiaResearch In Motion Ltd (RIM), maker of the BlackBerry smartphones, said on Tuesday that so far there is no ban on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) and they are confident BlackBerry services will stay for long  in India.

“RIM is here for a long run and there will be no ban in the future,” said, Robert E. Crow, vice- president for industry, government and university relations

Recently Crow met home minister P. Chidambaram and home secretary G.K. Pillai to explain the status of their projects. According to RIM officials, there was no deadline for providing access to BES services. (more…)
