Google Voice App is now official apple iPhone application

Google Voice, the popular application by Google has finally been launched as an official iPhone app. Success came after a long dispute with Apple that drew the attention of US government telecom regulators. Google has now announced the availability of Google Voice application from Apple’s App Store.
Google submitted its iPhone app to app store back in June 2009 but Apple refused to allow the app even after six weeks stating the reason that such features are already built-in in iPhone. Apple’s rejection in July created a huge protest, especially since the software was set to start running on Blackberry and Android platforms. Apple was even accused of spiking the app to protect the profits of AT&T, iPhone’s sole carrier. (more…)
Firefox Home iphone browser Approved For App Store

If you are a Mozilla Firefox fan and miss this great Browser on your Iphone then here is a good news for you. Apple has approved “Firefox Home” for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The new iPhone app, Firefox Home, was submitted by Mozilla a few weeks ago.
Firefox Home is a free application that provides access to your Firefox desktop history, bookmarks and open tabs on your iPhone. Firefox Home enables access to the websites you need on the go by picking up where you left off with your desktop browsing. Firefox Home uses your browser data, securely synced from Firefox on your desktop to the cloud, to let you search and browse it quickly and efficiently. Bharti airtel Reliance Communications to start mobile app stores

Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications India’s top Telecom service providers plans to launch online mobile applications stores, opening up a new revenue stream from add-on services such as music and social networking.
Bharti Airtel app store is set to go live on Wednesday (February 10) with 1,250 applications across 25 categories including games, books and social networking on its applications store making it the first Indian telco to attempt replicating the highly successful business model of Apple, the pioneer in this space.
Reliance Communications said the first version of its applications store would go live for GSM customers by the end of February, and by the end of March an expanded version would be available to its CDMA customers as well.
Mobile apps have been a rave globally ever since Apple launched its App Store in 2008. Phone makers, operators and technology firms including Nokia, Research In Motion, Vodafone and Microsoft Corp have also sought a piece of the pie.
In January, Aircel, which is majority-owned by Malaysia’s Maxis, was the first Indian operator to announce a mobile applications store, when it signed a deal with No. 2 software services firm Infosys Technologies.
