Fly mobile, A brand owned by the Meridian Group and One of the pioneers in dual SIM mobiles has launched a new model E-145 with a brand-name “LINKZ” which is bar style dual SIM (GSM + GSM), touch screen mobile phone. Linkz is fully equipped with todays need like social networking applications by which user can access Nimbuzz messenger service, Snaptu – all in one social networking app and Opera Mini browser for web access, Cricinfo Java application by which user get ball by ball updates on the move. Linkz is targeted to youths and launched after the success of V180 DS and Fly Circle – the cheapest Dual SIM, QWERTY mobile in India.
This stylish mobile has a 3.2 inch WQVGA big touch screen display with 240 x 400 pixels resolution, 8 MB internal memory and up to 8 GB expandable memory, 2.0 MP camera with white balance, scene mode, and add frame features. 1000 Entries Phonebook with Video and Photo Call ID is another feature of Linkz and special features includes, full Touch Phone, Handwriting Recognition, Drag ‘n’ Drop Widgets, Indian Traditional Calendar, Photo Slide Show,3.5mm Audi Jack, Accelerometer, SMS 2000, motion sensor, Java Games and Bluetooth with A2DP. The Fly ‘Linkz’ seems to be an ‘only for India’ handset A Google search doesn’t return a single review – only write ups – on local sites lisitng features, which were probably handed over by the manufactures.
Also, with the 3G auction set to take place by April 2010, I’m surprized that a newly launched 3.2 inch touchscreen phone for the Indian market doesn’t come with 3G support.
And to get the full benefit from a camera, it must have atleast have autofocus, if not both autofocus and flash.
