Intel based Smartphones and Tablets to be launched in 2012

Intel powered smartphones and tablets are successfullly tested and are set to launch soon by the first half of 2012, creating a competition to Apple’s iPhone and iPad.These gadgets are equipped with high end Intel chips and are based on intel’s latest mobile technology.
These gadgets run Google Android mobile operating system equipped with Intel chips called Z600(earlier known as Moorestown). According to the review the equipped Intel chip provides 4-5 hours battery life for mobile browsing or video viewing,near about 2 days of audio and over 10 days of standby time . That is 2-3 times more computing power. Intel has also confirmed a GMA 600 graphics core that enhances the hardware video acceleration.
We’ll see products next year on Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich and Honeycomb. Intel is providing different processors to the OEMs (Original equipment manufacturers) chips up to 1.5 GHz for smartphones and 1.9 GHz for tablets. (more…)
