BOLT Browser to discontinue its services; closure on 14 Dec

Bolt Browser, One of the popular mobile browser with some unique features is now only 1 day away to complete closure of its services. As par information on their website, Company is discontinuing the free bolt mobile service due to economic circumstances. 14 December 2011 will be the last day of their services.
If you use bolt browser then you can notice this Notice saying:
“Dear Bolt User, the BOLT mobile browsing service will be discontinued starting Dec-14 2011. Unfortunately, the economic circumstances prevent us from running a free service going forward. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your loyalty and support.”
Bolt was one of the browser to grab considerable chaos and big fan list within no time. Bolt mobile browser was the only java browser to have Direct Youtube Streaming, Adobe Flash support and Complete Javascript support. Grameenphone launches co-branded version of Opera Mini for 32 million users

Grameenphone, the leading telecommunications service provider in Bangladesh along with Opera Software, the makers of the Opera mobile web browsers has announced the launch of Special Opera Mini customized for Grameenphone users. Grameenphone users will also get free data services for one week, after downloading the mobile browser.
The Opera Mini web browser for mobile phones, works on more than 3000 different handsets ranging from basic feature phones to high-end smartphones. It is the most popular browser in the world, with more than 90 million users every month. Opera Mini will come preinstalled on some INQ phones

Opera Software and INQ have entered into an agreement where the Opera Mini mobile browser will be preinstalled on social networking INQ phones based on the Android platform, as well as on INQ feature phones based on BREW. The handsets with the Opera Mini browser will first be rolled out in March 2011 in the United Kingdom, followed by Australia and other markets.
The Opera Mini browser is the world’s most popular mobile browser with more than 90 million active users worldwide. Opera Mini’s unique features such as Speed Dial, tabbed browsing, password manager and Opera Link, which synchronizes users’ bookmarks across multiple devices, makes it the preferred browser over the device’s native browser.

Opera WAC ready widget runtime for Android OS

Opera Software introduced its new widget runtime platform for Google’s Android operating system which will support the new Wholesale Applications Community (WAC) 1.0 Specification.
WAC is an alliance of the world’s leading mobile operators and OEMs, such as Vodafone, Verizon, China Mobile, Telenor, Telefonica, AT&T, Samsung, Huawei and others, working together to define, create and deploy a common mobile application platform. Uniting a fragmented applications marketplace, WAC will create an open industry platform that benefits the entire ecosystem, including applications developers, handset manufacturers, OS owners, network operators and end users.
This alpha release of Opera’s widget runtime for Android allows developers to get a head start in developing the next step in applications for smartphones. At the same time, the WAC implementation serves as a platform for distribution.
